*Jeremiah 29:11
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Great verse, but often used in the wrong context. The 10 verses before verse 11 talk about the captivity of God’s people. God explains, that even through hard times, He wants His people to carry on and to seek peace in circumstances that look dire. He says, do not let your lives be diminished (vs 6)…carry on!
Very simply, through adversity His mercy reigns…. He is there for us and He has a plan. His plan (His will) is always the right plan. So continue on, push forward and do what you know to do. Praise and worship Him, stay in the Word, pray, fellowship with other believers, and tell people about Jesus Christ, the one who saves – knowing, through all of the trials, God will deliver.
